On 8 April 2026, France Identité welcomed a delegation from the Québec Government Office in Paris, representing Québec, Canada, for an exchange of digital identity and cross-border cooperation.
The meeting, with the participation of Florent Tournois, coordinator of the Aptitude project, enabled an in-depth exchange on the respective approaches of France and Québec, as well as the shared challenges of strengthening digital trust.
Aptitude focuses on advancing cross-border digital identity use cases, fostering collaboration between European and international stakeholders to build secure, interoperable and user-centric solutions. In this context, the discussion explored potential synergies aligned with the project’s vision, particularly in areas such as:
- Digital proof of age
- Transportation-related services
- Universities and international student mobility
- Administrative services and citizen pathways
These discussions reflect Aptitude’s ambition to support real-life implementation of digital identity solutions across borders, while ensuring interoperability and trust in digital services.
The exchange also opened new perspectives for international cooperation, reinforcing the role of Aptitude as a platform for dialogue, innovation and alignment in the evolving digital identity ecosystem.
