Aptitude actively participated in the EUDI Wallets Launchpad 2025, the first multi-day large-scale testing event organised by the European Commission, held in Brussels from 10 to 12 December 2025. The event brought together more than 230 experts from across the EUDI ecosystem, marking a key milestone in the collective effort to prepare the EU Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI Wallet) for its coordinated rollout in 2026.
From the very first day, Aptitude Member State project representatives and experts from all disciplines engaged in hands-on collaboration, supporting interoperability testing of EUDI systems, addressing technical challenges, and aligning on common approaches for implementation across Europe. The programme provided first-hand insights into six national wallet solutions and six concrete use cases, highlighting the diversity and maturity of wallet implementations across Member States.
The second day of the Launchpad continued with intensive work focused on interoperability testing, in-depth technical sessions, and live demonstrations from Member States and pilot projects, showcasing how different wallet solutions perform in real-life scenarios. These activities reinforced shared understanding and practical alignment across technical teams.
In parallel, dedicated communication and user experience workshops supported alignment on how the EUDI Wallet will be introduced to citizens, as well as to the public and private sectors across Europe. These sessions brought together the European Commission, LSP communication teams, and WP leaders, including Artemis Psarianou, Gregorio Mastrapasqua, and Viky Manaila, who exchanged best practices from national and EU-level projects and jointly explored strategic communication approaches for all stakeholders involved in Member State wallet deployments.
Throughout all sessions, the Aptitude project contributed consistently to testing, dialogue, and collaboration, reinforcing its role in supporting the development of a secure, interoperable, and user-centric European Digital Identity Wallet.
Beyond the event itself, the Launchpad strengthened partnerships and established a foundation for ongoing collaboration, ensuring a resilient and well-coordinated EUDI ecosystem ready to meet the needs of European citizens.
