20/03/2026

On 18 March 2026, Aptitude took part in the Future Identity Finance event in London, a key gathering for digital identity professionals working in the financial sector. The event brought together more than 600 decision-makers from banks, fintechs, insurance companies, regulators, and technology providers to discuss how digital identity is transforming financial services.

Florent Tournois, Project Coordinator of Aptitude and Head of France Identité Program at Agence Nationale des Titres Sécurisés (ANTS), participated in the panel session “Digital wallets: Where payments meets identity”. The session explored the transformative rise of digital identity wallets, driven by new regulations across Europe requiring citizens to have integrated wallets combining payment capabilities with identity verification.

During the discussion, Florent Tournois shared insights from the French and European public sector perspective on the evolution of these wallets. The panel highlighted how digital wallets can streamline identity and attribute verification, enable selective and secure sharing of personal data, and support interoperability between public and private services.

This work highlights the importance of European digital identity ecosystems in building a safer, more interoperable, and user-centric digital environment. Initiatives like the Aptitude project play a key role in testing and advancing these use cases across Europe.
