The Global Digital Collaboration Conference 2026 (GDC26) will take place on 1-3 September 2026 in Geneva, Switzerland, bringing together stakeholders from governments, industry and the wider digital ecosystem to explore collaboration, interoperability and the future of digital technologies.
Aptitude will be represented throughout the conference by Florent Tournois, Aptitude Project Coordinator; Philippe Nieto, Aptitude Deputy Coordinator; Anthony Carmoy, Technical Director of the France Identité Programme at ANTS; Ivan Diego Meseguer, Director of IMT Brussels; Florian Andreae, Payments and Banking Lead at Aptitude; and Leone Riello from the Center for Cybersecurity.
As part of the wider European Digital Identity Wallet community, Aptitude will contribute to discussions throughout the conference, sharing insights and experiences from its work as a Large-Scale Pilot and engaging with stakeholders working towards the implementation and scaling of interoperable digital identity solutions across Europe.
The conference provides an opportunity to explore key questions around:
- interoperability across borders and digital ecosystems;
- trust and mutual recognition between Member States;
- user-centric digital identity services;
- cooperation between governments, industry and ecosystem stakeholders; and
- the foundations needed for a secure, sustainable and interoperable European digital identity ecosystem.
Aptitude in the GDC26 programme
Aptitude representatives will contribute to several sessions across the three-day programme.
Day 1 | 1 September
At 10:00–10:20, Philippe Nieto will contribute to the keynote “Scaling digital identity in Europe: insights from Large–Scale Pilots (Aptitude & WE BUILD)”, sharing experiences from the two Large-Scale Pilots and their work towards interoperable digital identity solutions across Europe.
Day 2 | 2 September
At 12:00–12:50, Anthony Carmoy will participate in the panel “DTC & Photo ID in action: latest pilots and real–world implementations”, focusing on the latest developments and practical implementations around Digital Travel Credentials and Photo ID.
Day 3 | 3 September
Aptitude’s participation continues with several sessions covering Digital Travel Credentials, implementation of the EUDI Wallet, standards and trust infrastructure.
At 14:00–14:50, Anthony Carmoy will contribute to “Public/private wallet interaction for DTC”. During the same time slot, Philippe Nieto will join Ivan Diego Meseguer, Director of IMT Brussels, and Florian Andreae, Payments and Banking Lead at Aptitude, for “Status of EUDIW & EBW implementation in LSPs”, exploring progress, opportunities and challenges around implementation across different use cases.
At 16:00-16:50, Anthony Carmoy will also contribute to “The Backbone of the EUDIW Ecosystem: From Mandated Standards to Real–World Implementation”, exploring how European and international standards for the EUDI Wallet are moving from specifications to practical implementation through the Large-Scale Pilots.
The day concludes with “Trust Infrastructure for the EUDI Wallet: From Definition to Piloting to Reality” at 17:00–17:50, featuring Leone Riello from the Center for Cybersecurity, and focusing on how the trust infrastructure supporting the EUDI Wallet is moving from definition to implementation and piloting.
With 144 sessions bringing together experts and stakeholders from across the digital ecosystem, GDC26 will be an important opportunity for Aptitude to exchange knowledge, share experiences from its pilot activities and contribute to the ongoing European and global conversation around digital identity.
