Aptitude was represented at Moldova Digital Summit 2026, held on 5-6 June at Chișinău Arena, taking part in dedicated discussions on the European Digital Identity Wallet, digital identity, interoperability and trusted digital services. Under the theme “Where Digital Vision Meets European Ambition”, the Summit brought together more than 2,000 participants, 90+ speakers and over 40 sessions across 4 stages.
During the first day of the Summit, Florent Tournois, Coordinator of the Aptitude consortium, participated in the panel “Trust, Access, Integration: The Future of Digital Identity in Moldova and Europe”. The discussion explored the role of digital identity in enabling trusted, accessible and interoperable digital services, drawing on insights from the deployment of France Identité and the work carried out across Europe through Aptitude. In this context, national experience was connected with the broader development of the European Digital Identity Wallet ecosystem.
The Summit’s EUDI Wallet agenda also included “EUDI Wallet Live Demos” and “EUDI Wallet Interoperability Testing”, focusing on practical user journeys, cross-border innovation and the technical work required to test interoperability within the EUDI Wallet framework. This practical and technical focus continued during the dedicated Aptitude workshop, “Unlocking the EUDI Wallet Ecosystem: Inside the Aptitude Initiative”, which featured Anthony Carmoy, Maria Luisa Duarte Guimaraes and Emilie Ramond.
The workshop introduced Aptitude’s mission, ongoing activities and roadmap, while showcasing concrete user journeys and real-world use cases within the evolving EUDI Wallet ecosystem. It also highlighted how national building blocks such as France Identité connect with the broader European framework, bridging theory and practice through practical scenarios designed to encourage audience interaction and feedback.
The presence of Aptitude at Moldova Digital Summit 2026 highlighted the importance of cooperation, practical testing and ecosystem-building in advancing the EUDI Wallet. As digital identity becomes a key enabler of trusted public and private services, exchanges such as these help connect large-scale pilot activities with Europe’s broader ambition for secure, interoperable and user-centred digital identity solutions.
