Aptitude was represented at VivaTech 2026, held from 17 to 20 June 2026 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, as part of discussions on the European Digital Identity Wallet and the future of trusted digital identity in Europe.
During the event, France Identité presented the latest developments related to the future European Digital Identity Wallet through the Aptitude consortium, coordinated by France Titres. Anthony Carmoy from France Identité also delivered a presentation on the European wallet and the Aptitude consortium, highlighting the project’s contribution to the development of reliable, interoperable and secure digital identity solutions.
The presentation offered an opportunity to showcase wallet pilot projects across four key use cases. These included border crossings, with smoother travel through digital travel credentials and simplified border checks; travel and mobility, supporting easier registration and check-in processes for hotels and airlines; digital vehicle registration certificates, enabling interoperable certificates recognised and valid across the European Union; and payments, with a new strong authentication method designed to enhance payment security.
Through its presence at VivaTech 2026, Aptitude highlighted the importance of practical testing, cross-border interoperability and data protection in shaping a trusted European digital identity ecosystem. The event provided a valuable setting to present how the EUDI Wallet can support secure, user-centred services that are usable across Europe.
