This week, the Aptitude team is actively engaged across two major events in France, bringing the consortium’s expertise on the European Digital Identity Wallet to policymakers, industry leaders, and technical communities.
ID Forum – FIC, Lille (31 March – 2 April 2026)
The Aptitude team participates in the ID Forum, the dedicated identity and KYC (Know Your Customer) track of the Forum InCyber (FIC) in Lille, one of Europe’s leading cybersecurity and digital trust events. The event, which opened today, brings together public authorities, technology providers and industry stakeholders to discuss the future of digital identity in Europe and beyond.
The Aptitude team is contributing to the programme as speakers, with sessions covering France’s digital identity strategy under eIDAS v2, wallet trust technologies and global standards, and the protection of minors online.
Sessions are being broadcast live. The full programme and livestream are available here.
Bank Club -“European Identity Wallet:Are Banks Ready?“, Paris (2 April 2026)
On the evening of 2 April, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, the Aptitude team will be joining a conference organised by La Revue Banque in partnership with Onepoint in Paris.
The conference takes place at a pivotal moment for European digital identity. With two key regulatory milestones on the horizon, December 2026, by which each Member State must make an identity wallet available to its citizens, and December 2027, by which authentication using that wallet must be possible, the implementation phase is now firmly underway. The European Commission has mandated the WE BUILD and Aptitude consortia to test a series of use cases in preparation for this production launch.
Discussions will cover pilot feedback, the outlook for France and other countries, and practical examples such as the digital banking kiosk, a use case that transforms branch reception into a fully digital journey enabled by the identity wallet. A roundtable will focus specifically on implementation and perspectives in France. Aptitude will be represented alongside speakers from ANSSI, Banque de France, EPI Company, the WE BUILD Consortium and Diebold Nixdorf.
Registration information is available here.
