On 5 February 2026 Lithuania selected Procivis AG, a Swiss provider of digital identity and wallet solutions to deliver the national European Digital Identity (EUDI) Wallet sandbox following a public procurement procedure.
Working in cooperation with the State Digital Solutions Agency (SDSA) of Lithuania, Procivis will build a national test environment designed to support Lithuania’s digital identity activities and ensure readiness ahead of the EU-wide implementation of the EUDI Wallet by the end of 2026.
Through its production-ready and eIDAS 2.0 – compliant technology, Procivis One, the company will provide the infrastructure to test secure, user-centric digital wallet use cases for citizens, relying parties and public organisations. The sandbox will also enable regulatory alignment with eIDAS 2.0 requirements and facilitate cross-border testing of digital identity verification in areas such as public services, travel and car rental.
The 12-month project phase will serve as a knowledge-building foundation for Lithuania’s future EUDI Wallet infrastructure, allowing real-world testing using interoperable and security-compliant technology.
The sandbox is also instrumental for activities within the LSP Aptitude consortium, one of the European Union’s Large-Scale Pilots established to test digital identity use cases across specific sectors, supporting cross-border interoperability and trusted digital service delivery across Member States.
