05/06/2026

“Meet the People of Aptitude” introduces the experts and innovators working behind the Aptitude project, one of Europe’s large-scale pilots testing the European Digital Identity Wallet in real-life conditions.

In this interview, we meet Artemis Psarianou, who leads Marketing, Communication and Dissemination at Aptitude. A. Psarianou is responsible for ensuring that the Aptitude project’s communication and dissemination strategy is planned and delivered consistently across all 14 European countries, coordinating more than 141 public and private partners around a shared brand identity, key messaging and visual identity.

What is the main role of Marketing, Communication and Dissemination within the Aptitude project?

“Our role is to lead the marketing, communication and dissemination work and to ensure that the communication and dissemination strategy is planned and delivered throughout the Member States. We also ensure that there is a consistent brand identity, key messaging and key visuals for all the pilots surrounding this project, and that this is communicated consistently throughout Europe.”

What are the main challenges in your area of responsibility?

“One of the major challenges is that we have to deliver this communication and marketing strategy across more than 141 partners, both public and private, from 14 European countries. This is a huge challenge in itself. Our role is to coordinate everyone and create key visuals and messaging for the whole project, ensuring consistency across all Member States.”

What tools or formats will you use to share the project’s results?

“We will use videos, campaigns, email campaigns, social media campaigns, press releases and events. We will ensure that citizens, which is our end goal, are aware of the benefits of using European Digital Identity Wallets and feel encouraged to embrace them.”

Why is communication essential to the success of the European Digital Identity Wallet?

“In any society, any law cannot be enforced if it is not communicated. It is the same with technology. Because technology can be best understood when it is communicated clearly. Our role is to be the bridge between technology and citizens. The right messaging and the right methods will ensure that all citizens are informed about the advantages of having and using a digital identity wallet in their everyday lives, making their lives easier throughout Europe.”

The Aptitude project brings together partners from 14 European countries to test the European Digital Identity Wallet in real-life scenarios such as travel, payments and digital services. The goal is to make digital identity secure, trusted and citizen-controlled, while ensuring services can work seamlessly across borders.
